How to use your phone as an LED sign at a concert
A cardboard sign is heavy, gets wet and can't be seen at night. Your phone screen, on the other hand, lights up on its own. With EmotionFlash you can show a scrolling message, a giant emoji or colorful lights in seconds.
1. Prepare your message before you go in
On the home page tap “Edit text and speed” and type your message. Short, all-caps text works best: the artist's name, “WE LOVE YOU” or the song you want them to play. Add one or two emojis for color.
2. Adjust the speed
From far away, slow-moving text is easier to read. Between 30 and 50 seconds per pass is a good starting point; raise it for longer messages.
3. Turn up the brightness and lock rotation
Set brightness to maximum and turn off battery saver, which often dims the screen. Hold the phone in landscape to fit more letters, and lock rotation so it doesn't flip while you move.
4. Save your battery
A screen at full brightness is the biggest battery drain. Show your sign only at key moments and bring a power bank for long shows.
5. Emojis and lights for the songs
For a ballad, a giant ❤️ or the color lights mode looks beautiful when many people do it at once. For fast songs, 🔥 or 🤘 can be seen from far away.
6. Be kind to the people behind you
Raise your phone for the special moments and lower it the rest of the time, so the people behind you can enjoy the show too.
Note: the lights mode changes color continuously. Avoid it if you are sensitive to changing light.
